driving miss daisy

Getting my driver's license renewed has been a pain in the a$$. This whole problem started when my wallet was pick pocketed in Country Mall last April 2003. Since the license was up for renewal in October, I decided to renew it then. I followed the meticulous steps the LTO has outlined when applying for a renewal of a lost license. From securing an affidavit of loss and clearance from the regional office to the medical check up and drug test. I was to claim my plastic ID after 6 months. So by May 2004, I went there to claim it only to find out that I had to have my picture taken again since there was something wrong with my picture. It probably didn't give justice to my prettiness. Hahahaha. Anyhow, I had my pic taken again and had to wait for another 6 months for it. When it was time to claim it, it still wasn't ready. I was asked to come back after 3 months for it. I kept coming back after 3 months until the time that my license was already up for another renewal. Imagine waiting for the plastic card for 3 years. Grrrrrrrrr!!! The people from LTO informed me that the best thing to do now was apply for a renewal. I kept coming back to have it renewed only to find out in the end that they lost my papers. So I decided to give it up last November 2006. I thought it was not worth all the trouble and all the money I have put into it already.

But then after talking to Mommy about the problem last week she helped me on how to get back on track. Since it will be a longer process if my license expired for more than 2 years, I decided to renew it now before it becomes 2 years in October. Getting my license would ensure me from reckless driving without a license. So here I am again, waiting on long lines, enduring the heat and the sweat waiting for the elusive driver's license. Haaaaayyyyy... I really hope it will be a different story this time. Wish me luck!:D

wannabe photographer

I miss taking pictures already. I haven't done much picture taking lately since I have been busy catching up with work. Plus, I had so many things that I have been busy with lately. But I am glad to share that it was well worth the tired hands. Hehehe. I will be posting about it soon enough:)

I haven't gone on trips lately which equates to no pics:( sad. I was supposed to go to the beach this weekend but plans didn't push through. Bummer. I will just have to think of something to do this weekend. Either that or I will be on lazy mode. hehehe. I wish there are online universities that offer photography lessons, now that could occupy my weekend. hehehe

p.s
pic taken from ray's wedding. a rare pic of me holding my baby;)

loco over lomo

Can I make a special occasion from nothing? My birthday and Christmas is many months away and I badly want to use my gift card to get my hands on these babies. Hehehe. Ever since I got hooked at looking at pics taken by a lomo cam, I can't get them out of my mind. It's quite frustrating knowing I can't get them just yet. Oh well, patience is a virtue as they say. Hopefully, a kind hearted person from the States will help me get them. Hehehe. In the meantime, I will just settle at looking at pictures posted by lomo maniacs all over the world. I didn't realize there are so many users of lomo even with digital cameras around. The pics are fun and weird looking and I love it:)

it werks!

One of the greatest perks about my job (if not, the greatest) is the ability to work from anywhere. From the comforts of my own home to coffee shops, I can just bring my ever reliable laptop and work from wherever i fancy. Kewl no? Hehehe. I am thinking of taking MBA programs during my free time. I love the freedom that I have now. But it also makes me scared. I am afraid that I will not find a job that could compete with this. What would that mean? That I would be here forever? Hmmmm... Although, I am not thinking of jumping ship anytime soon, I am just thinking ahead. As usual my head is thinking of all the possible what ifs. Hahay. Me and my wandering brain again. Hehe. I guess i will just have to wing it like I always do when crunch time comes;) hehehe

seyboo

Beautiful isn't it? I'm glad I was able to capture the beauty of the sunrise (maau na ko mo pic sa? hehehe). Taken aboard the Cebu Ferries boat from CDO. This is the scene that greeted me at the port of Cebu after a week of being away. This makes me fall in love with my city all over again. I am definitely home:)

life's a beach

I had my first dose of sun and sand at Pearl Farm last Holy week. It was a great way to start the summer:) Although, I did not care much for the resort, feeling the sand between my toes was great. I am looking forward for more beach outings this summer. That is, if budget permits. hehehe:)

peak a boo

The majestic Mt Apo. This was the view from the cable car going back to Camp Sabros after ziplining. After a whole day of hiding behind the fogs, it finally showed its peak by sundown. One of the treats I got when we lingered longer in the camp to get a second chance at the zipline. It was a day of FUN and environment appreciation. You definitely get marvel at God's creation when you are here. One of my trip's highlights was the day at Camp Sabros. I will definitely go back. Especially that Edwin still had a lot of plans for the place:)
